1. Data collected
The Shark Track extension collects the following data:
- Login credentials — email and password, used exclusively for authentication with the Shark Track server.
- Authentication token — stored locally in the browser to keep the session active.
- HTML of selected elements — when the user manually selects an element on a betting site (.bet.br), that element's HTML is captured to extract the bet data.
- Active site domain — the hostname of the site where the element was selected, used to identify the bookmaker.
2. How the data is used
- The captured HTML is sent to the Shark Track server for structured extraction of the bet information, using artificial intelligence (OpenAI).
- Event names are sent to the server to be enriched with sports data via SofaScore (tournament, date, country).
- Extracted bets can be saved on the server by the user.
3. Storage
- Local — the authentication token and temporary capture data are stored in the browser via the extension's local storage.
- Server — saved bets and user data are stored on the Shark Track server.
4. Sharing with third parties
Data is shared only with the services required for the extension to work:
- OpenAI — for processing and extracting bet data from the captured HTML.
- SofaScore — for enriching sports data (tournament, match date, country).
No data is sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
5. Browser permissions
- activeTab — temporary access to the active tab, only when the user triggers the extension.
- scripting — injection of the element picker into the active page.
- storage — local storage of the token and temporary data.
6. User control
The user can at any time:
- Log out to remove the authentication token.
- Uninstall the extension to remove all local data.
